Updated e4Equipment e-learning programme

The e4Equipment e-learning programme, which provides high quality training in the safe and effective use of medical equipment technology, has been fully reviewed and updated.

The programme was originally created in 2010 and this recent update means all 52 sessions now contain the most up-to-date and accurate information. As part of the update three new modules and nine new sessions have been added to the programme.

Immunisation e-learning programme now live

Immunisation is a highly successful public health intervention, saving thousands of lives every year. To ensure ongoing public confidence in vaccines and a high vaccine uptake, it is vital that all those who advise on and/or administer immunisations are confident, knowledgeable and up to date.

This e-learning programme has been designed in line with the recommendations made in the Public Health England (PHE) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training.

e-Learning programme to give people a greater understanding of mindfulness

A new e-learning programme has been launched to give people, including health professionals a greater understanding of how mindfulness can support the people they are working with.

Introduction to Mindfulness is a simple and comprehensive e-learning programme which will provide people with an overview of what mindfulness is.

The programme has been developed by Health Education England’s Population Health and Prevention and e-Learning for Healthcare (HEE e-LfH) teams in partnership with MindEd.

Introducing Learning Paths on eFetal Monitoring

A new learning path structure for eFetal Monitoring (eFM) is now available.

The knowledge sessions and assessments now appear as a series of learning paths based upon levels of complexity. The four learning paths are:

  • Level 1 – Pathophysiology: Normal Fetal Heart Rate Pattern
  • Level 2 – Risk factors for Fetal Hypoxia
  • Level 3 – Pathophysiology: Complex Fetal Heart Rate Pattern
  • Level 4 – Complex Pregnancies

All previous knowledge sessions are still available and all user records are still accessible.

NHS Safeguarding App

There is a brilliant safeguarding resource (for both children and adults) in the form of a phone app.  It includes information on Consent and Best Interests, the MCA, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards as well as safeguarding and Prevent.

e-Learning programme launched for professionals working with children with special educational needs and disabilities

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) have developed the Early Developmental Support e-learning course in partnership with The Open University, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the University of Hertfordshire.
