All of our GP training practices belong to a locality, within a specific geographical area. The groups consist of the GP trainers who belong to these particular practices, and GP trainees of all levels. Trainees are allocated to a group reflecting where they are due to spend their ST3 placement.
Trainees will be a member of one of 3 locality groups; in Chichester there are 6 meetings per academic year; in Worthing there are 3 meetings per academic year. These are an important part of the educational programme. Each group will have one or two ‘leads’ (usually ST3s) who are responsible for organising the meeting venue, time, topic and any speakers or activities. Attendance of these meetings will need to be recorded and submitted to administrative staff.
